Guissou Bakhadj was born on January 29, 1961 in Tehran, Iran, where her passion for painting was apparent at the young age of 4.
Guissou studied privately with Master Zamani at the age of 11 and was awarded first place in the category of oil painting in Tehran. Later at the age of 12, she won the award for the best artwork in the entire county of Iran.
Guissou and her family moved from Iran to Paris when she was 13. After graduating High School, she attended "Ecole Superior d'Art Graphic" for one year. She then moved to the United States and continued courses at UCLA and Pepperdine University.
Guissou's art has Persian and French influences which she holds dear to her heart. Her art also captures the essence of serenity and tranquility, as well as the beauty of the moment.
Guissou has participated in many art exhibitions throughout California, including a number of individual and group art shows.
